I agree totally. I would also hate to have to purchase something that I already have at home.
I am a confirmed heavy packer. For my 8 day cruise in less then two weeks
I am taking 3 pieces of wheeled luggage. This is b/c of the new lower weight restrictions on the airlines. I had a 30" duffle but if packed full it is over 50 pounds. So this time I am taking (1) 25" for my clothing; (2) 22" for my shoes and toiletry items. These will be checked with the airline and the ship. Finally, (3) I am taking a 20" which I will carry with me right up until I get into my cabin. In the 20" will be enough clothing, etc. to last me 24-36 hours just in case my luggage does a peek-a-boo with me.
Sounds like a lot but none of these bags will be filled to busting so that I can bring back liquor, smokes or any other souvenir I may find that I like.
It is far better to bring it and not use/wear it than to leave it home and desperately wish you had it.
