Any cruisers booked on Carnival Freedom Aug 29th

We have just had confirmation of our booking for the Med cruise leaving August 29th.

We are spending 3 days in Rome pre cruise and I am interested in any information about the transfer from Rome to the Cruise.

My first preference is to use the Train, but if that is going to be a big hassle I was thinking of the Carnival transfer from central Rome.

Any suggestions please.
