Just got our cabin #. Hows the noise level in the Aft of the ship and/or above the restaurant. Not that it would matter one way or the other because I'll be cruising baby.

Not sure what ship you are on, but we have sailed on the Spirit in the Aft section with no problem. We like the area so well we booked one close to it this time. Last time we were on the Panorama Deck 8243. It is not right oabve the restaurants, but I won't think that noise would bother you.

Thanks Gary for the link to your Alaska pictures. They were all wonderful. Alaska will be the cruise for 2008. what is the best time of the year to cruise there and did you see the Orca whales on your cruise in Alaska?

We have cruised to Alaska twice. June 4th in 2006, and June 20th in 2007. We had great weather both times. I am beginning to the it does not rain there! In general it can rain any month of the year,..expect it. Our next trip will be a July-August cruise in 2008 or 2009.
When I was in High school I went to Alaska with a friend. We drove from California to Anchorage, then drove and took ferry back. I really do not remember than much rain doing the 2 plus months we were gone.
No Orcas, but saw these guys.

We have sailed the Cabl area 4 times, each time we had Dolphins, escort us. Also in the Acapulco area watch for Sea Turtles. It was hard to get a turtle in focus as the water had alot of movement. They are hard to see also.

Thanks for the pictures. The wife is stuck on the Orca's...I know they head either up or down the coast once a year and that's the time to catch them because they go back to mate.
