retired, is the wedding taking place onboard the ship? If so, perhaps the Carnival Wedding Coordinator might suggest a place where the wedding guests should meet.

And I'll jump in her and confirm that it is Deck 3, the Lobby deck you enter into in Galveston. This is into the main atrium where the shore excursion desk and the Purser's desk is. Dave suggestion of going aft to find a elevator is a good one, but you'll have to go down a deck to the main deck because one deck 3, you will be blocked by the galley from going aft.

You can still use the glass elevators and I think they only shut down HALF of the forward (main) elevator bank for luggage delivery. But if there is a huge crowd, I suggest going aft or taking the stairs.

Have a great cruise!

The wedding is on the ship before it leaves Galveston. We understand we will be able to board early due to the wedding.
Those of us going on the cruise after the wedding have cabins are on the Empress and Veranda. From things I've read, some say it's hard to find your way around and you can't go from one end to the other except on 1 deck. I've tried to find cut out picture to see how it looks and haven't as yet.So it made me a little nervous and was afraid we'd get lost, at least for the wedding part.
Thanks for all the replies. I know we'll do OK and we're all looking forward to this great adventure.

Hi retired, Where is the wedding to be held on the ship?

You can walk straight through on Empress and Verandah decks, unless they are closed for cleaning when you first get on.

We used the Aft Lido Bar, Deck 9 for a gathering place on Glory 2 years ago for a roll call group we had.

Another option is the Library, one deck straight up from the lobby. You could wait there for other members of your group. You can also look down outside of it in the hallway directly to the entrance to see when they get on.

Also, try this link to get familiar with the decks.
