Wish I was! Holiday is a great old ship. You'll love it. Also, prepare to be impressed by the best managed port facility in this country.

Gloat away! I've heard wonderful things about the ship from people I trust, and wish you a BON VOYAGE!

Chuck; Enjoy yourself and be sure to drink and eat too much! By the way, if all of a sudden you feel rumbling and shaking, do not worry. It is just the ships thrusters kicking in and no cause for alarm. You'll love the ship! Back in 1985, it was the largest on the seas!

On our recent Holiday cruise, I missed taking one picture of the sign in the elevators. Chuck if you think about, please snap one. You will get a laugh out of it for sure!

I thought I had a photo of that sign, but I guess not. I assume you mean the one that says to "not panic" if the elevator stops and that the normal repair time takes so many minutes (was it 20 minutes?). It caused me to take the stairs most of the time!

Yep! thats the one. I laughed when I saw it. One of our friends was on the AFT STBD elevator and it went haywire..he had to climb off between floors.

I always take the stairs anyway. That way I don't feel so guilty at all the food I'm eating. Especially the chocolate mousse and choclate melting cake.

I am more than just a little claustrophobic when it comes to certain things like elevators and airlocks like we have at work. I'm fine in airplanes though.

I often use the stairs on ships because it is usually faster - I walk fast anyway and I can be where I want to be while the people back where I started are still standing there waiting for the elevator.
