Mex. Riv. Port Taxes

I'm cruising the Mex. Riv. and wondering if port taxes/fees are basically the same throughout the year, or could it be a different amount depending on whether you're booking through a TA or Carnival directly.

There is no difference booking with a TA. Port taxes aren't negotiable.

It just seemed strange that when I look up my booking on carnival's book/modify screen, it list port charges as one price and my invoice from my TA shows port charges a lot higher with the cruise price less but both grand totals are the same.

Are you perhaps confusing "government fees and taxes" on the Carnival website for port charges? I believe they are two different things. I think they roll the port fees into the price on the website while your agent's invoice breaks them out. Just a guess.
