What benefits does Carnival offer with a suite cabin besides VIP check in? Thanks

VIP departure is really the only other benefit.

And, even then, this is after those who carry off all of their own bags.

Another question - how does a suite compare to a balcony? How much bigger etc?

It depends on the ship and the category of suite. On the Fantasy class the "grand suites" (formerly cat. 12) are 330 square feet with a 70 sq. ft. balcony. The regular suites (formerly cat. 11) are 220 sq ft with a 30 sq ft balcony (plus they are not at all private).

On the Freedom the suites range from 245 to 300 sq ft.

Thanks Dave,
This would be a regular suite (ocean I think) that I am wondering about and on Liberty. Any info you have will be appreciated.
