I heard several people saying that buying bar credits prior to the cruise is a good idea. Any Advice????
|
I have found out that bar coupons really give you a discount. It's just one more thing to worry about.
|
so looking at the website, 4 bar coupons are about $20.
Do these coupons work for all drinks, from beer to the fancy schmancy ones? Would it be cheaper to get the drink coupons or just charge the drinks to your card? |
I think they work for all drinks. So by my reasoning if I get drinks that cost more than $5.00 a piece, then I am getting a discount. Is that right or does it only take $5.00 off the cost of the drink?????
|
Actually, the bar coupons have a price limit. I think the 4-ticket pack has a face value of $15, or $3.75 per drink max. When you pay $19.50 you are paying the gratuity and handling too. We had them in a gift package a while back, and I think these are the correct prices.

thanks for the info!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
The drink coupons are for drinks $5.75 or less gratuity is included in the coupon.
|
It is strange. I can't make it out too clearly but the image of the coupons on the Carnival website appears to say $15 at the top of the four coupon pack, but $5.75 on each individual coupon.

Dave-
I saved the picture off and then opened it up and zoomed in. The best I can tell is that the coupons say $3.75 not $5.75. So for 4 drinks of a max of 3.75 ($15) plus tip (15%=$2.25) you are paying $19.75.. doesn't seem like a deal to me unless you are buying them as a gift for someone else's cruise. |
Jim,
It is a hard image to zoom on, isn't it? Now it does look like $3.75 to me too! |
