5 days at sea, 6 days on the Islands. We had a great time. The Spirit is a class ship. Easy to get around onboard. The food was great and the crew were hardworking and friendly. We left from Esenada, Mexico, after being shuttled there from San Diego by Carnival. First day asea was a little rough and cold. Didn't bother me but it did a lot of people. Closer we got to the Islands the warmer it got. I must say that my first look at the Islands which was Maui was unforgetable. We had signed up for three Carnival shore excursions. Two that we took were Pearl Harbor on Oahu, and Mauna Haleakala on Maui, were great. The drivers of these shore excursions were very informative and went way beyond what I had expected. The third Carnival excursion was a Luau which my husband and I were both disappointed in as were others that took this shore excursion. Our other excursions on the Islands were through other tour companies. We would do this cruise again and we definitely want to cruise on the Spirit again.

It is no secret that my wife and I love the Spirit. I wonder why they bussed you to Ensenada. Normally the Spirit would end it's cruise in San Diego. Seems like they would have just started there and cruised to Ensenada.
BTW on a BTB do you have to do both fire drills. I would hate to miss that fun.

Welcome back yankeeso! Sounds like an awesome cruise experience. I would love to cruise to Hawaii some day. The Spirit Class ships are my favorites.

Welcome back Yankeeso, glad to hear you had a good time. My hubby lived on Maui for 7 years, he loved it but said it was way too expensive. Maui and the big island are my favorites. One day we'll get back there. Get busy booking the next one, it makes coming back to reality a little easier to take. It will be hard to top this cruise, but you can sure have fun trying Maybe Tahiti next?

Welcome back! My wife wants to cruise to Hawaii. After crossing the Atlantic, the six days at sea to get to Hawaii won't be a problem. I thought being a sea that long was going to be too boring… but I was wrong. We enjoyed everyday at sea.

The Spirit left from Ensenada and our cruise ended in Honolulu after 6 days around the Islands. The Spirit then cruised around the Islands again and crossed the Pacific to Vancouver. And from Vancouver went to Alaska. The Fire and Ice cruise for those that took both.
