Great news! Now, that is one embarkation port I am looking forward to visiting....can't wait to meet up with wife's siblings (who live in Virginia) so we can cruise together. Hope we can get that done in a year or two. We have to start convincing them that it is a great vacation!

Ok...everyone is getting a cruise port but us.

What???? Why can't they get a cruise ship up the Mississippi River to Memphis....

It truly was a wonderful day in Charleston yesterday! I went down just to see the ship was really there. It has been a long time waiting for a Fun Ship to be home ported here.

She came in slowly as was fitting for the Palmetto State. She was welcomed with open arms.

South Carolina is a perfect match for Carnival. The state "motto" is "Smiling Faces and Beautiful Places". I can say the same for cruising on Carnival.

I have a suspicion I'll be on one of those cruises within the next year or two. I'd love to visit Charleston again... it's been too long.
