We will be sailing on the Inspiration on 08/27/2007. Has anyone recently been on the ship? Any tips or hints you can give me?

What did you think of the boat? Is it clean and in good shape? I have sailed on the Sensation and the Miracle and the Miracle was by far a better ship than the Sensation.

Thanks!
Jaye

The Inspiration is the same class of ship as the Sensation. The Inspiration came out in 1996. It is going through a major refurbishment sometime this year. The Miracle came out in 2004 and is larger.

The Purser's office was very experienced in solving problems. They were the best. The shows in the "Paris Room" were the worst I have ever seen. It was like watching an "American Idol" reject show. The food was ok. The service in the dining room was at the most, adequate. The gift shop choices are very limited. Be sure to bring white sports socks, because if you don't have any, (like me because my luggage was lost) you will have to wash and dry the only pair you may have with you. The gift shop's women's clothing section only caters to petite women. If you wear a large or better, you can forget about buying anything.

Cruisehappy, It sounds like you had a bad time. Was there anything positive?
Thanks,
Jaye

Ok, something positive ... I got $200 in shipboard credit, a bottle of champage from the Purser's office, my cabin was upgraded. From Delta, $125 for lost luggage, an earlier flight and upgraded to first class. Plus, my waiter "friend" is paying for my next cruise.

That's great Tiff! We should meet up one day on the ship. The more, the merrier! We had a group of 4, But now we are down to 3. We range in age: 24,29 and 34 but we can party with anyone. It would be great to have instant friends.I am not sure if there is a way to private message so I can give you my home email if you would like to chat about our cruise.

I am SO excited!
Jaye

Cruisehappy...you are out of your mind. The shows are great!! The one thing I alwasy admire about Carnival is their consistancy! The food is always consistantly good...no one ever said it was gourmet...you're not PAYING for gourmet. I think the shows are the best on the seas...go see some of the crap that NCL offers and then compare. No one else's shows compare! White sox?? JAYE...you'll have a blast! No, Inspiration isn't a luxury liner...but you're not paying what they charge on one of the luxiry boats. I've been on Inspiration and it's a nice boat. It's the same as all the Fantasy class boats. Not as nice as the bigger boats, but still an enjoyable cruise!

We actually just got back from the Inspiration on 4/19. It is great. No it is not 5 star luxury, but I think as far as Carnival is concerend you get a real bang for your buck. Our service was great, people on board as far as staff were great. We had a waiter named Goran and he was as nice as they come! I am a true blue customer to Carnival. You will love it!

It is a ship, not a boat. You can put a boat on a ship, but you can't put a ship on a boat. And, the Inspiration stinks. It's the worst ship in the fleet. I suppose if you've had more than three drinks and have never seen a good show you would get fooled into thinking that the shows on the Inspiration were great!
