Fantasy or Ecstasy

I am planning a cruise in October and New Orleans and Galveston are both a five hour drive from my home. Which is the better ship? I know they are both the same class but has one been refit soone rthan another?

I'd go with the Fantasy. It was recently refitted, and New Orleans is just a neater place to cruise out of than Galveston. Go a day early so you can eat great and hit the French Quarter. My brother-in-law and his wife just completed a cruise on the Fantasy and loved every part of it.

See how you like going out of Galveston nedt week and then decide. I don't think you can go wrong with either ship, since they are the exact same class.

However, I am also very partial to New Orleans because of the new terminal and ease of parking right on top of where you check in.

We have done both ships and ports. We liked New Orleans and the Fantasy a little more, mostly because of New Orleans, not the ship. We arrived a day early and stayed a couple days on the end and had a great time. Ready to go again.

I LOVE Fantasy. But question...Ecstasy isn't a Fantasy class ship is it???
