First Time Cruiser on Paradise

I have never been on a cruise... I just want to know if there is any secrets about what is good and what is bad!

What goes on with alcohol? Can you bring your own or no way? How much is beer, is it expensive?

Can't tell you about anything bad, but the good stuff is the food, the crew, the people you meet, the itinerary, the ports, the ship, the pools, the hot tubs, the entertainment, the clubs, the bars, the casino, and the best thing is you're not at work. Beer ranges in price from $2.50/up, wine is around $5.50/up, mixed drinks $3.50/up. The cruise lines don't want you to bring your own alcohol, but if you pack it in your luggage, they probably wont say anything. I usually pack a 4 pack of wine splits in my carry-on, and so far they've not said anything. The most important thing is to have fun, do things you're interested in, explore the ports you're in, and remember your experience--it's sooo short!! Have a wonderful cruise!

Ditto from what Penny said...it is all fun! You are on vacation, so just relax and enjoy yourself. The food is great, shows were fabulous, ports were a blast, and you couldn't ask for better staff who wait on you hand and foot to make your vacation the best! Our room stewards and dining staff were fabulous and we fell in love with them. Have fun!

Be careful with the sign$sail on adult beverages. It can add up really fast before you know it. Our fist time, we almost flipped. Of course our kids had a s/s also,but didn't use it that much since they had braclets for soft drinks. It was me and my husband that spent more than we had thought. Have a great time!! P.S. I took wine, the kind in the bag, in my suitcase. Nice, cause it can lay flat. Sue
