Going on my first cruise in May 2006 with my daughter as a graduation present. We will be on the Elation, going to Half Moon Cay, Bahamas; St. Thomas; San Juan and Grand Turk. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Can't wait, but am nervous as to what to expect. Thanks!!

Hi Cat20,

I have moved your message to our Carnival section, where it should receive better attention. How exciting! Your first cruise! I fondly remember my "first time". It launched me on a journey that is still in progress.

The Elation is a fine ship and will offer you a good first cruise. Carnival strives for consistency and good value. I am very fond of their cruises. The private islands, as they are called, are really great stops and I enjoy them. Half Moon Cay is one of the best.
