The big margarita was at Palancar Reef in Cozumel. Here is a little trivia.
Jacques Cousteau declared Cozumel one of the most beautiful scuba diving areas of the world.
When we got to Cozumel, which was the last Port of Call, I told Scott that I wanted a day to do nothing but play in the water. I wanted to go somewhere that was not a "tourist" hot spot so I asked a man in port where that might be. He told us Palancar Reef. This place is beautiful. Not many people out there. They don't even have electricity. They turn the generators on at 11:00am so they can make the frozen drinks and lunch.
Our waiter told us that this reef is one of the worlds best diving reefs and people come from all over just to dive it.
It was about a 20 minute taxi ride and we did not take much cash with us. Well, they only take cash there so we could snorkle or go scuba diving or anything like that. We were able to drink and eat lunch. The cab fare was 20.00 each way for the 4 of us. The Margaritas were 8.00 each and lunch was about 10.00 per person.
I wish we would have known that we could not get cash there and that they did not take credit cards. We would have stayed there all day if they had. We left there, went back to town and got cash. We went to San Franciso beach and it was wonderful.
