Tell Adam his "cruise Mom" said hi! (His Mom and I are the same age...so he and I bonded.) He had a cold on our cruise and I was making sure he went to get some meds from the doctor and drank lots of liquids etc. Fortunately, I had some of those shower vapor tablets that make a wonderful "sauna" in your shower. It really helps open your sinuses up before you go to sleep so you can get some good rest.
I have a special needs child and I always look like a pharmacy whenever we travel!
Everyone was talking about the cave tubing in Belize. That seems to be the "thing to do".
We are restricted as to what we can do, so we just spent some time at the pier *inside the fence*.
I did get to talk with a wonderful older gentleman named Gilly Young. He is a tour operator that is allowed inside the fence.
We are going to get him to put together a custom tour that our son can do when we go back in 2007.
Another tip: There is the nicest young man from Nepal who worked the deli every day we were on board. I am so sorry that I did not get his name. Every day he would greet us with the best smile and up beat attitude. It was like a little ray of sunshine. I love their grilled reubens...but I only like 1/2 the amount of corn beef they put on there. And it took me awhile to get him to understand that I only wanted "half the meat" and not "half a sandwich". It was our running joke the rest of the cruise, since I ate "several" a day.
Have a wonderful time. And do the Legends Show if you get the chance. It is a great experience.
Happy Cruising!!
