I've heard some negative reviews of this new ship saying the staff was rude, the buffets most of the food stations closed, hot tubs not working etc. Anyone else been on this ship what did you think?

I personally have not been on the Glory, but did have a large group of clients sail on her back in December.. most were 1st time cruisers and they reported back to me that it was one of the best trips they had ever been on. No complaints. I guess its all about what you are looking for, what one person states is terrible another will say it was perfect.

I have sailed on both ships, Glory and Pride. If I had to pick the better of the two, definitely the Glory. The Pride was only 4 month old when the wife and I went and the renaissance motif was not quite our thing, But still very nice. The Glory was wonderful all around (food, service, Pool area, shows). We were on the Glory last March and all was great.

I agree Carol. I've had great times on ships others have written horror stories about. Some people can be very picky some go with the flow. Or perhaps the ship didn't iron out some kinks, or they are used to lines that pamper more, the upscale thing and feel Carnival is a let down by comparasion.

Yep, we sailed the Pride in the first year she was sailing, I can honestly say...I saw enough naked statues and naked artwork in the elevators to last me a life time. It was kinda hard to explain to the children that were traveling in our group about art work when their eyes were focused more on the nudity..lol

Showcat, I couldnt agree more, we always go expecting to have a great time. We try not to let the little things upset us because if you look for problems, I do believe you will find them.

We sailed on The Glory with 3 adults 3 kids and 2 teenagers and had a blast! The staff could have been any nicer! They were great. The ship was incredibly clean and the food was better than the last RC cruise we took. Someone may have had an isolated incidence but we really enjoyed our cruise on her and would go again.
