Inspiration or Sensation?

I am scheduling a 5 night cruise in November for my wife's 40th birthday. Having never cruised before, could you recommend the Inspiration out of Tampa or the Sensation out of New Orleans? We are a "fun" couple who will enjoy the sun, beach, drinks in the evening, etc. Considering the ship itself, destinations, etc. Any and all information would be appreciated.

I would say leave out of New Orleans. That way you could have a mini vacation there before boarding the ship! That's what I'm gonna do in 30 more days!

Wew ent on the Sensation about 4 years ago. It was a nice trip however at the time the ship was really begining to show her age. I know nothing about the Inspiration however.

The Inspiration and the Sensation are both Fantasy class ships. The layout is pretty much the same. I'd say, choose whichever has the itenirary you like the best and is easiest to get to as far as travel.

Thanks for the information. As far as itineraries go, the Sensation goes to Cozumel and Playa de Carma. This Inspiration goes to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Anyone been to these for comparison?

Grand cayman is one of my favorite place. I felt very safe at all times (not the same everywhere I have gone) and it was a beautiful island. I was dismayed to find out how much Ivan really did to this beautiful island. Playa de Carma is very nice also especially for water activities but I prefer Cayman. Be sure not to miss Carlos and Charlies in Coz.
