names on our tickets

We got our tickets in for our cruise on the 17th of December. My question is that on our tickes our last name is spelled wrong. It is only off by one letter. I don't think that it is a big deal but I don't want to risk it you know. Thank you in advance

Can't hurt to call Carnival and tell them. Your papers need to match your passports or your I.D., I wouldn't wait till I got to the ship to find out it can't be fixed. You still have time now...

If you booked directly with Carnival call them immediately and get it changed. If you booked with an agent them call them. Carnival usually charges a $50.00 name change fee, but for one letter off most times they will waive this fee.

I called Carnival and they have the right names on file so I don't know what happen. What they told me is that as long as our fun pass says the correct names we will be fine. I hope everything will be fine all the names on our actual reservation and on our fun pass are the same the only one that isn't is our ticket. It's off by only 1 letter. Our last name is Denney not Denny.

If you are still concerned, you could check with the TSA and/or port authority but you should be fine.

PS Carol, How could Carnival charge for a mistake that was clearly made by them?

You had every reason to be concerned. If the reservation and Funpass match for boarding and they told you so should be fine.

Once onboard you will never need those documents again. Make certain your Sail & Sign is spelled correctly, if not don't accept it.

They mess my last name up sometimes too, they insert an "e" where should not be one.

If it was me, and there was enough time I would have them re-issue the docs. They check them before you can enter the terminal. Plus I save mine and want my name right.

If you sail on 12-17, they have plenty of time, ask to speak to someone higher up if is an issue with you. But you will be able to board just fine.

I can't speak for Carol, but I think she was refering to when one changes a passenger name. When is their fault there is no charge.

this happens quite often. for some reason I think the letter E is in Kahoots with Carnival. maybe it's to save ink or just mess with people Like IslandCruz and yourself.
