Shore Excursion from Hell

Be forewarned - the shore excursion entitled "St. Maarten Beach Break" is a scam. They only give you the "ribs" touted as lunch - the beach is absolutely horrible, and they don't label the jugs of free "rum punch" so kids were going to get their drinks not knowing there was alcohol in it. Please don't book this excursion. Carnival gave us a 50% discount off this tour. It is HORRIBLE!!!!

When you said "Shore Excursion from Hell", I thought you were talking about that place in Grand Cayman

Anyway, thank you for the tip. I will be headed to St. Martin in November aboard the Carnival Glory. I'll make sure not to pick that shore excursion.

Frase-- No.. that would have been called "Shore Excursion to Hell" or "Shore Excursion through Hell"

But seriously, the Islands are not too bad but you need to be careful about "punch drinks" on these excursions, if they are made with local water, that could lead to a gastronomic fun fest that isn't in the vacation brochures. (Esp. in Mexico) I tend to avoid the free drinks unless they are made from bottled water or boiled.. (or Beer )

You are all absolutely right. We just got back from the Eastern Caribbean trip on the Carnival Triumph. Everything else was wonderful, but this was extremely sub-par. P.S. When I said ribs, I meant ribs... (only)! They had one loaf of french bread and that was it! Nothing else. We called a taxi and got out of there as fast as we could.
