does any one know if the facination went into dry dock? if so, what changes were made?

Brandon, I do not know if the Facination went into dry dock, but the Glory went not long ago. All ships have a regular routine, where the engines are ovehauled and barnicles are removed, brightwork is fixed or replaced. Decks are varnished, Galleys are redone and equipment updated etc. Sort of like a major milage mark on your automobile. Sometimes major changes take place on the older ships to update systems. Mostly as a passenger you will see nothing different, it will be a beautiful ship and unless you saw it before and knew the glass slider on lido deck had a crack or something would see not much changed.

The Fascination came out of dry dock Oct 9, 2006. They updated the cabins with new bathrooms,comfort bedding,flat screens, and draperies. They put a bar in the atrium area. They put in a new O2 Teen club, nine hole mini golf, new Coffee Cafe, new art gallery, and redesigned the internet cafe. They repositioned the stage on the lido deck, and put in an enclosed netted basketball.

The lobby bar is in the plase of what used to be a rather ugly sculpture that was approx 3 decks high. I have to disagree with the mini golf course though. I sailed on the Fascination twice, and we had a golf course last Oct (just after Wilma)

Yes, the mini golf was there prior to Oct 2006. Maybe they just redid the greens.
