It does include the gratuity, or at least they don't add any extra amount to the coupon purchase. However, the coupons don't apply to ALL DRINKS the ship has to offer...only to ones that are comparable in price.
Hope this helps

The cost of the soda card varies. On the Holiday it is 27.50 for adults and I think 22.00 for kids.

I'd like to know more about this...do you mean basically the $5 drinks?

Kerri Sox - Before I cruise - I go online and purchase the drink coupons. One you have the coupon...there is no more charge. Just give them the coupon for a drink...no gratuity charge at that time or when you purchase them.
That being said, don't try and use them for the nice "Drink of the Day" and expect to get a drink in a large Carnival Cup. And don't try to get a top shelf mixed drink (say....Grey Goose Martini straight up, dirty with two olives )
But for the generic mixed drink in a small glass, they are actually $$5.00 with no tip.
Hope this helps

On carnival.com, click on the "Gifts" tab at the top. It is under "Most Popular Items" on the second page. It's called "Bar Credit (4 drink cpns)"
I found the soft drink coupons on the "Specialty Items" page.
There is also a coupon for $15 for the photos, but don't the photos cost more than that? Anyone know how that works? Do you have to pay the difference?

If the Photo is over $15 you pay the difference.

I like a traditional martini too - I have one on most evenings of a cruise before heading to dinner. Sometimes two . Mine is with Beefeaters, in and out on the vermouth, 2 to 3 olives, and sometimes a little dirty....this depends on my mood. I cannot stand the abominations being made in the name of martinis - even those made with vodka, which are a different drink and shouldn't be called a martini.

And we won't even mention the martini on the rocks! I actually had a Carnival bartender make fun of me once (in a good way) because I wanted my drink straight-up and not on the rocks. Cretin!
