Is there a website that offers real good deals on Carnival cruises? I have been on the Carnival website, I am just trying to find deeper discounts. What web sites do you book your cruises on?

While many may not agree, many will also agree. I use a TA. She is local, always finds us a good deal, and friendly.

With Carnival there Military discount is very hard to beat. You do not have to be in the Service, just have your DD214 showing that you did serve.
We cruise Carnival a;ot because of the discount.

I keep reading that military personnel have to produce their DD214. I have no idea, but this may be true for retired personnel, but active duty just need to fax in a copy of their ID. That's it; I just did it! Just wanted to clear that up (if it even needed clearing up).

You do not need to have retired from the service to get the discount. all that is needed is that you served, and have an Honorable Discharge. The DD-214 will supply the information needed.

Military ID for active and retired, DD214 for vets (not retired). There are other promos for folks without minitary serice as well but military and interline (airline employees) rates are normally the best rates available. There are also frequently regional promos, past passenger promos and others that are very good. Sometimes there will be agencies with block space (group rates) purchased in blocks but offered for individual bookings inside the block. Referrals for where to book are tough because it's a very competitive industry and the best rates are not always available through the same source for each sailing. I agree with Gary that a good T/A is a valuable asset, especially if you're new to cruising.
