Hello All,

Hoping you can help. I'm trying to put a CD together as part of a Christmas gift for a friend of mine who is going on a cruise in April. Can anyone out there think of some fun cruise songs that I can add to the CD? Thanks in advance for the help!!

A couple of my favorites are: Hot, Hot, Hot by Buster Poindexter and The Roof's on Fire by the Bloodhound Gang (but the cleaned up version not the original). I would think any type of calypso, steel pan, or raggae would work. Oh, I hope they're doing a Caribbean cruise. Otherwise, these wouldn't make much sense. Best wishes!

Open up with "Anchors Aweigh"
seque to "I'm Sailing Away"
Then some nice Belefonte: perhaps "Brown Eyed Girl" and "Day O".

I'd leave out such great classics as "Night on Bald Mountian" "Flight of the Valkereys" and any thing from the Titanic Movie

Well, there is always the popular hit from UB40---Red Red Wine. From Bob Marley---
1) One Love
2) Buffalo Soldier
3) No Woman No Cry
4) Could You Be Loved
5) Don't Rock the Boat
6) Jamming
And of course, anything from Jimmy Buffett's Songs You Know by Heart

What about "Sea Cruise" recorded by the Beach Boys in the early eighties and the "Love Boat" song from Princess?

What about Carnivals two theme songs. Somewhere Beyond the Sea or the second theme song, but I don't know the name. It goes, In the morning, in the evening, ain't we got fun, not much money, Oh but honey, ain't we got fun. Everytime I here those two songs all I think of is a cruise. I hope this helps. Debbie

How about the "Pina Colada Song" or Margaritaville?
