How do I find the number to give to my dog sitter to be able to contact me in case of an emergency while on the ship? We are crusing the Celebration.

Carnival has completed their fleetwide cell-phone implementation. Your dog sitter ought to be able to simply call your cell number.

Sunshine...also when you get to your cabin, there are instructions on the phone for how to call you on the ship. Call anyone important to you and give them that information..then turn the cell-phone OFF and enjoy your time away from it as well!

I should have mentioned my hatred of cell phones - especially on cruises! Leave them off and check your messages a couple times per day if you must. Or as tncruiseman said - those ashore can contact you without using a cell phone.

When you get your documents, there will be somewhere that they have the phone number to the ship. You can give the sitter the number before you leave home. We always leave copies of itenarary (sp) along with phone numbers.
You never know.

Thanks for all the replies...I absolutely freakin-lutely HATE cell phones...so don't worry, mine will be turned off and just checked occasionally One of the biggest perks of vacation to me is no phone!!!
