anyone ever book this? good luck? bad luck? i have done this with Royal Caribbean but never Carnival. i don't like that you don't find out where you are until you check in, but the price is so much cheaper

Hi Mandi,
We first booked on an inside, then changed to an assigned cabin, then we decided to take the balcony gty, which is a first for us also. I just put in a thread that asked if anyone remembered the little thingie for finding out cabin assignments early.
Hope someone remembers. Keep up with my thread and maybe we can both find out.

Come and join us on the Liberty Sept. 1 out of Ft. Lauderdale. We have about 5 cabins booked already.

would love to but the liberty is a smaller ship and we like the larger ships. also i worry about hurricane season, thats why i am looking at the beginning oct or end of sep

The Liberty is the same size as Valor. Also the end of Sept. is still prime hurricane season. Just wanted to let you know.

I live in fort lauderdale and trust me, you very much still in hurricane season in october. Best time to sail though.

Hi Mandi. I booked a balcony guarantee on the Valor in May 06. I actually ended up with a very nice room on deck 9 (Lido). It was clean, nice and quiet. Good spot too, I didn't have to go far for food or the pool. My cabin assignment was on my docs - I didn't have to wait until I got to the ship. I booked a balcony guarantee on the Legend for 5/13/07. I'm crossing my fingers hoping I have a nice cabin like on the Valor.

I keep saying we are going to try it some day. But for the time being, I keep that 'control' of selection my own cabin.
