I like the Celebration better than the Inspiration. The Celebration is older, but I found it to be cleaner.

I was on the Inspiration in 1998. It was my first cruise, so I was impressed. That's been a while though.

Inspiration is newer and larger, but that means it also carries more passengers. Inspiration has a multi-level atrium where Celebration does not. Other than the open atrium, you will have the same amenities, and similar experiences on both ships. Go with the best itinerary or departure port.

I was on the inspiration last month for my first carnival cruise. It was very clean. The only problem I had on the ship was getting around, bby the time I figured it out it was time to go. My first cruise was this past september on the RCC.I preferred that over all but thr ocean view rooms were alot smaller. But I will do either one again and probaly will come september. Last month we went to the Cayman Islands and was dropped at Calica for our Mexico day. If you can't be dropped off at Cozumel or Cancun don't bother.I would not do that trip again as you have to hitch a ride anywhere to do anything. They drop you off at a port with nothing there but taxis and car rentals and a few overpriced vendors. We rented a jeep and went to Cancun, which is close to an hour away.We went shopping where nobody spoke english, lucky I knew enough Spanish to get along. The food was horrible and they played American rap music in the stores and restaurants.I could of stayed home for that!We thought we went to Mexico. Oh, the good thing was We found Kahlua, huge bottles for $8.50 our money..Brought back 5 of them big boys...

Having sailed on both I would only favor the larger Inspiration because I am an atrium person!

Although many people love the smaller Celebration because of its closer "small town" feel.

In general, food, service and staff will be consistant.
