I am hearing rumours that the MS Holiday is retiring soon. Does anybody know details? When will it be replaced and by what ship? What will happen to the old vessel?

On the other hand: If you try to put "Holiday" and "November 2008" in the Carnival mask, it will still tell you that there are Cozumel cruises from Mobile. If you put "Triumph" and "November 2008" in the fields, it says, that the Triumph still goes to Montego Bay from Miami. Confusing!

Yup, the news release says that you won't be able to book for the Triumph cruises until September. So it will probably take until then for the system to catch up. I'm sure if you tried to book it with a Personal Vacation Planner, they would let you know the ships were changing. The existing Triumph cruises will be handled by another ship I am sure.

Just looking at the plan, it seems that Carnival had an original idea and timeline. Then, they decided to expedite the process and never updated the system.

I have no idea where the Holiday is going. I can pretty much say with certainty the Triumph is not the replacement.

Carol, I should have said almost with certainty. Point taken!

I don't believe it from the current reservation status about it. And Dave made a very good observation about the size of the different ships about parking and turning in the basin.

Thanks,
Dwayne

The Holiday has been sold and is going to Spain. The exact "when" has not been released. Mobile will get a ship to replace the Holiday but sadly it will not be the Triump, since that press release turned out to be a well worded hoax, But Mobile will get a Fantasy class ship and with all the Fantasy class ships getting all the new Waterworks stuff, that should be neat.

There is going to be a lot of shuffling going around when the Splendor goes to California in 2009...but personally, I don't see the Holiday lasting that long. So if I had to guess (and this is just a guess) I would say some time in 2008 for the Holiday's departure.
