The coolest one is the Frog, and the super big Monkey they can make out of the big towels

We got a towel animal every night and it was a different one each night, no we didn't get one the first night or the second come to think of it, hmmmmm.

I wonder if they take classes to learn how to make those nice little creatures.

Yep, tipping the steward is the trick to getting one of those cotton origamis each night.

Towel animals are one reason I give my room person a crisp $20 bill on the first day...you always get some of the extras...plus, most ships have a Towel Animal making class you can take....plus, my wife just gave me a book on making Towel Animals...so..now I make my own...
I think sometimes your room person might be too busy to do the towel thing everynight..but they certainly are FUN...Enjoy the Cruise...

Our last cruise on Liberty we got animals every night. Our first cruise we did also. The first day I went bcak to my cabin to change from Contacts to Glasses and my glasses case was empty, I was furious, who would steal my glasses, then I noticed a towel mole on the bed wearing my specs. I nearly fell over with laughter at how up tight I was. Never again, I am Mr. Cool now on a cruise, nothing upsets me.

ive only been on one other cruise a few years ago, but if remember correctly, the best towel animal we got was a monkey that was actually hanging from the closet, or ceiling, or something....

and the towel animals are cool, but are they worth paying more for? i could understand maybe throwing the steward a few bucks because they have already been leaving towel animals and it shows that they have given you more attention - but to pay them right away (or increase the tip for this reason alone) to ensure that you get towel animals in the future? i guess its just not for me...i'd rather save it for a beer

Spoken like a true kid....I think, and since I've never done it before, maybe I should not offer my opinion (but I will anyway), a tip right up front usually ensures a little extra attention, to include towel animals, and is not given exclusively for towel animals.

Hi Spiritfilled, I am pretty sure on my last cruise they were doing demonstrations on lido. I have heard they do take classes or training.

Best Regards,
