The first thing to consider is whether you will drive or fly to the cruise port. Depending on flights available, this could be as much, or more, than the cruise itself.

I AGREE TO CHECK CARNIVAL AND OTHERS BUT CHECK COSTCO AND SAMS CLUB TRAVEL CLUBS. I HAVE BOOKED 3 YRS STRAIGHT THREW COSTCOS AND THE YEAR BEFORE THREW SAMS.MAY IS USUALLY A CHEAPER MONTH. REMEMBER THE PRICES CHANGE EVERYDAY OR SO,CALL LIKE EVERY 4 DAYS. TO ME APRIL WAS TO WINDY.I DONT THINK ILL EVER GO IN MAR OR APRIL AGAIN. BEFORE I BOOK I HAVE SAY 3 DATES AND CRUISES IN MIND.I KNOW HOW MUCH IS TO MUCH AND WHEN I HEAR THE PRICE I AM LOOKING FOR I GO FOR IT. I CHECK FOR OTHER PEOPLE ALL THE TIME SO I KNOW A DEAL WHEN I HEAR ONE.I AM SOON TO GO ON MY 11TH CRUISE.

You might give cruisecompete.com a chance to bid on it-I have seen some excellent pricing there from some very reputable people!

Bon Voyage,

I use the same PVP at Carnival for booking my cruises. What I do is get quotes from cruisecompete.com (get site) and then see if my PVP can match. I booked yesterday for a Glory sailing (3/24) any the PVP got me the best price.

Are you a veteran? I conistantly get a 30% discount, and carnival is the only one to do it.

I see a lot of people saying at least look at Carnival PVP directly and I agree. We have always gotton a good price and service from our PVP. Once even compared veteran vs AARP vs AAA vs Family Discount (My daughter is on the Liberty) I couldn't have been more pleased at the effort Wendy took to find the best price. Call them.

Jeffy, My husband and I were on a cruise this past January, nobody ever mentioned a veteran discount. I just made plans for a cruise on the 22nd on the Sensation from cape canaveral and the rep from the carnival website asked me if one of us was a vet..Hubby is not going on this one but the discount will be there next time..Any going on this cruise to Nassua? Leaving March 22-25?

I always book direct with Carnival. Also, I will keep checking on different web sites like travelocity, cruises.com, or cruisedeals.com. after I am already booked. Carnival will match any deal you find as long as you do it at least 75 days before your sailing.

They changed my last cruise 3 times. I went from $629 to $449. My next cruise is in October and I have already had it changed from $499 to $469 and have an inside on the Lido Deck.
