SORRY, I'm exactly a month later, but I hear it's just been refurbished. I'm excted too. Did the 4 day last year gonna do 5 this year. I would suggest "getting to know" Your island what what your gonna got when you get there. We shopped and didn't do any sightseeing except the Altantis, not a great idea, but still better then being at work!

I am also a month after you! Lucky - you get to go first
We are also leaving our kids at home- ages 2 & 5. Time for mom and dad to relax!!!
This will actually be our 2nd cruise without the kids. First time we felt really guilty until we got home and all the oldest one talked about was staying at Grandma's for 5 whole days! They did not want to come home! THis year we know they will be having a blast also. Great for both kids and parents!

Your wrong! Good for kids parents and GRANDPARENTS. We love having the grandkids without their parents around. Big time BONDING. So you are going in June? I was afraid of it being too warm in June, but have a blast!

your right I am wrong! The grandparents definately enjoyed the kids on their own time. I guess there is just something about tucking your grandbabies in bed that get the grandparents every time!! My kids would rather go to grandma's house than any place in the world! Thank goodness for me!! haha

Scheduled for the 4/15 sailing ex Port Canaveral.
Anyone experienced the Sensation since she came out of refurbishment from being used in new Orleans as a shelter for evacuees?
I've heard about some air conditioning problems.

Innovativeinsights,

the "Sensation" has not yet re-entered service and will only do so tomorrow. Where did you hear about the alleged air-conditioning problems?

We are going on our first cruise on the 5-day Bahamas on the Sensation in August. I just heard about the horrific problems the first sailing (after being refurbished)just had. Has anyone talked to anybody at Carnival or their Travel Agent to find out if this is a one time situation. I am hoping none of these issues will still be a problem when we go - especially since it's our first cruise. I'd be interested in hearing what anyone has to say about this. Was really excited but now am a little nervous.

I had the displeasure of being on the Sensation March 23. I have pictures of the mold and rust on the bathroom ceiling, the water leaking from behind the toliet. We met passengers that were on the deck at midnight because their room had soaked carpet and water running down the wall. We were in the parking lot from 1pm til 9pm because the Coast Guard would not clear the ship for 6 safety violations. This was not the trip we planned for. And we had the penthouse suite, $2600 for 4 days of hell.
