Paradise 3/11/05

Is anyone going on the Paradise out of Long Beach, 3/11/05? Would love to meet up with others, we have 4 couples going. Hopefully its better than before, we have taken Esctacy, the last time, we didnt care for the ship any longer. Hoping for a good Time !

We were on the Paradise a few years ago and the ship is beautiful.The overall service was not very good. It was the first ship that we had been on with automatic gratuity's and I think that is what affected the service. We stay away from lines with automatic gratuity's after trying several, we find that the service really suffer's.I will have to say that the Paradise was very nice and we really liked the no smoking policy.

Most cruise line employees have adjuste dto the automatic gratuity, and now provide better service, knowing they won't get stiffed by cheap guests. Plus, it allows the passengers to relax more, knowing that tipping is included.

THANKS for your replies! We went last weekend, it was great. The service was excellent, the ship was clean. I like the idea of "smoking areas", not just smoking everywhere. The food, it was ok, nothing spectatular, but good. Debarakation was a mess tho. We waited from 9:30 until 12 to disembark. They really need to come up with some other ideas on this.
