Cas, have you been to Dominica? Do you go over to St. Croix often? My friends dad had an airline in San Juan, many years ago, called Out Island Airlines. We'd go down and visit him in the summer and fly over to St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John. Of all of them, St. Croix was my favorite, but that was years ago.
For the case of Dominica I had been there 3 times and It is not a bad island but is very poor so it is starting now to become a tourist paradise.
But here is my main problem,
I live on Puerto Rico and on the nortwest of the island there are a lot of beutiful beaches so much like the ones you see on the caribean tourist guides so a day on the beach is not that important for me.
Problem is on most of these island, that is what you can mostly do. When I'm cruising I am looking for different options like the ones you can have on Aruba...
Yes Cas, it must suck to live on a Caribbean paradise year round. I'll tell you what, I'm a nice guy, I'll switch places with you and you can live here where the nearest beach is a 5 hour drive. The nearest beach that even comes close to your beach is probably south Florida or Cozumel...

LOL
Believe me sometimes it does specially during Hurricane season
But to tell you the truth I will give anything to travel around the world specially usa, as you know, I don't have as many cruise options like you have in usa, here is only the AOS or Carnival Victory most of the year and if you are lucky, like my friends, the Crown princess...
Thanks for the info,I found it to be very useful as I am planning on taking this cruise early next year and am trying to find out as much as I can about this itinerary.Again thanks alot.

I hope they bring back Aruba too some time. The itinerary that had Aruba and Curacao was my favorite as well.
Cas, since you mentioned hurricanes..we have a 20 year anniversary of one coming up that we both went through.
LHP, I haven't decided what to do on Antigua either.

I agree 100% with you in that they should bring back Aruba and Curacao to their itinerary because in my opinion those are the 2 best islands in the southern caribbean.
I agree right back. The itinerary I had was called "Dutch Treat". It had St. Lucia, Curacao, and Aruba. Oh well, one can only hope. It costs a lot more for me to cruise out of San Juan because of the flights. I'd do it though if they put Aruba back on.
