I called Carnival the other day, again, have called 3 different times, and got 2 answers that matched.
I saw on their website where on a 7 day cruise, the deposit is $200 per person per day. Then as we all know, tips are taken out $10 per person per day. In our case for 3 people, that is $210.00. My question was: If you have 3 sign & sail cards, but only intend on charging on one, do the other 2 people still get charged the $200.00 deposit? They told me and I quote....If only one s&s card is going to be charged on for all 3 people, you will only have 1 $200.00 deposit, and the other 2 will not be able to be charged on, but will be able to be used as room keys. In addition to the $200.00 deposit, the tips for all 3 people will also be put on the 1 card being charged on.
Now,If you are gonna use 2 cards to charge on, then there is a $200.00 deposit on
bothcards, and the tips will be added onto 2 cards. If you are gonna use 3 cards to charge on, then a $200.00 deposit per card, plus tips.
Nowwe plan on only using one card to charge on, so it will be 1 $200 deposit, plus tips,
however.should we get there and they tell us that it is a $200.00 deposit regardless of whether the card is gonna be charged on or not, we are prepared for that too. Even though we got the same answer twice, and the last time the guy checked with his supervisor, we are still gonna be prepared. Hope this helps
