We are cruising on the Liberty 10/27. We have a return flight leaving at 6 pm. Due to the travel restrictions re: luggage, we are at a loss of what we can do between disembarking and the time we need to be at the airport. 6-8 hours sitting in the airport babysitting our luggage does not sound like fun. Does anyone have any suggestions what we can do to occupy our time in Ft. Lauderdale until we fly home. Any suggestions would be helpful.

You may want to check in to what shore excursions the cruise line may offer for those with late flights. You may also want to check into a one day car rental and explore on your own.

This may sound stupid but have you checked with your airline about a potential earlier flight??

I'm with Cruise Fanatic on this one. Actually, dr has stated the obvious. But, if re-scheduling the flight is too costly, rent the car, grab an area map, and do a little sightseeing. We did that in LA and had a fantastic time just winging it. We even rented a car with navigation. It was worth it.

Just make sure to allow yourself enough time getting back to the airport for your flight.

I would concur with the previous posts.

This is the only ship sponsored shore excursion I could find Click Here

Best of luck,

When you get to the airport, see if you can fly standby for an earlier flight

Clowmom-Check with Carnival to see if there is a post cruise tour of the Ft.Lauderdale waterways or of the Everglades. We did that last year, they picked us up with our bags at the ship and brought us to the airport in Fort Lauderdale after the tour. It was a great way to spend 3-4 hours!

Bon Voyage,
