It takes awhile for a first time cruiser to find out things that matter about a ship they are on. On deck 3 you go out the side doors to the deck that is under the life boats. There is less wind there and more comfortable chairs to really enjoy the sea and not be cooked by the sun. There is a theraputic fresh water whirlpool and pool up in the spa area. We thought it was only for those who were getting spa treatment. It is not! Men go through the men's locker room-women through the women's locker room-find the door for the Whirlpool and enjoy the quiet and relaxation without the noise of kids. For those who love to drink tea (like my Scottish Wife) but hate the taste of coffee in the plastic mugs they provide here is how to get around it. Make your tea in two of the juice glasses that have never had coffee in them. The second glass insulates your hand from the boiling water and the tea tastes great. Only found this out half way into the journey. For those of you who want milk in your tea rather than cream you will usually find a stash of it on deck 9 Ledo in the under counter fridges in front of the stairs. That is were the staff keeps it and you can get access to it any time of the day or night.
