I was curious as to whether anyone, besides me, collects the pins that Carnival puts in the staterooms upon arrival.
On Pride they did not have them in our cabin. Upon disembarking the ship, I went to the Purser's Desk and they told me they weren't giving out pins anymore. They gave us 4 decks of Carnival playing cards instead. When we got home I phoned Carnival and they mailed us 4 Pride pins with a letter on Carnival stationery.
So, my question is, am I the only one that collects or wants the pins?

Andrea you're not the lone ranger. I misplaced a few and found them on ebay. I also buy the model ship of every ship I sail on for a curio cabinet, even if they're the same series of ship. A christmas ornament from each ship and port also. 50 years from now we'll look back on them like they were Noah's ark!
tn, I, too, purchase the gold metal ship ornament that the store sells. I also buy Christmas ornaments in all the ports as well. It gives me a wonderful feeling when I admire my tree every year. We've never started collecting the model ships. That's a great idea though.

I also collect pins. I noticed that Carnival is now puting the year of sailing on the pin, also. (I am comparing a Destiny pin from a cruise in 2000 to a Victory 2006 pin.)
I also have every passenger cruise card from every one of our cruises, going back to 1990.
Ship models...what a super idea. If only I had thought of it... and sooner.
I always buy the ship (refrigerator size) for..well, the refrigerator! I haven't sailed Carnival yet so I didn't know about the pins. Kind of like the Olympics on a small scale huh?
I do collect the mugs. We keep all the capers, tags, and paper stuff for a scrapbook. I heard of a couple who buys a couple of settings of mugs, glasses, plates, etc. everywhere they cruise to and takes a different set out once in a while for a special dinner to reminisce about that particular trip.
Well I collect the day plan of all the week and use it for my photo album,
But I don’t recall any pins from carnival where you get it??
Also this is going to be someway strange, during my honeymoon the Sunday of disembark, I buy a cappuccino in the café on the way of the Carnival Destiny, since I already paid my bills on the ship I couldn’t use my fun pass to pay for it.
So I paid for it in cash and save my receipt in my old jean jacket.
Well I put the jacket in the forget about it part of my closet after that, it was an old one so never give it much importance, the other day I was cleaning my closet and when I was taking the jacket to the trash, just checking the pockets I found this receipt in one of them in a very good condition.
I keep it as a memento of my last day of honeymoon at Sea, I am a romantic so we put it in the photo album, I will like to start the same collection of pins where did you find them???
