Ship Terminal in New Orleans

I will be going on the 8-17-03 Carnival Conquest Voyage. How far is the ship terminal from the airport? What would be the best way to get to ship? Thanks

The airport is about 17 miles North of Downtown New Orleans. They have shuttles and cabs that are about the same price ($20-$25) that take you directly downtown or to the pier. I've gotten a lot of info from www.neworleanscvb.com. It's a great site-maps, travel info, etc. The Carnival site also has directions to the port-look under info for booked guests. Also...please come back and let us know how it goes. I'm booked on the 1/4/04 cruise. Thanks!
