If I book an excursion on line with Carnival do they bill me at that time, or do they do as Princess did when I booked with them, hold the charges until I check out the last day onboard ship? My concern is if I book and pay for it now can I change it on board if needed? BTW I am going on the Spirit 2-19-07.
We booked our excursions on Carnival's website. We were billed in full at the time we booked. When we boarded on the Conquest in Dec. We decided on changing 1 excursion and adding another it was no problem at all. No added fees for changing excursions. Just go to the excursions desk when they are open (get there alittle early) and change it in person with them Hope this helps.
I guess they figure if passengers can decide on and plan a cruise (sometimes) months in advance, surely they can do the same for shore excursions...(?). I guess the excursion operator deserves some notice-sort of like an RSVP to us-of how many folks to expect so they can plan accordingly. Just guessing.

Last summer we were on the Sun Princess. We booked in advance, were not charged until we left the ship, and they had no fees to change or cancel. We did not change or cancel, but might have wanted to if weather had been bad.
