cmdugan34,

Welcome to cruise chat! Please find other posts on the subject. For example here: http://cruise-chat.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/452603081/m/9...831004292#6831004292
There are hundreds of comments on "bringing alcohol onboard" to the point of nausea.

It will be confiscated until you disembark. You will not be thrown off the ship.

I've been on 3 cruises. In San Juan, they have a liquor store right at the pier, while your in line to embark. We filled a cooler with liquor and it went right through the xray. No problem. the guys emptied the cooler when we got in the room, and went back off the ship and filled it with beer! again, it went straight through. (we did this 2 different times in San Juan) The same thing in NYC. We packed liquor in the checked luggage and when it arrived in our room, the liquor was still there. Never had a problem, just dont make it noticable and they will let it go right through. Out of sight, out of mind!!!
