Are there such things as Ship Tours? We'll be sailing the Glory in July and it's our first cruise ever. We wondered if you can tour the Bridge, Gally or other areas of the ship that are usually off limits.....

They offer galley tours. It will be listed in your Carnival Caper as to day and time. Our maitre 'd also gave us a heads-up at dinner. Sorry, I do not know about the bridge.

a few years back on the Holiday I remember a bridge tour, i was sorry I missed it.

I have not seen a bridge tour offered. They usually have a bridge/engine room tour running on one of the TV channels though.

Galley tours are very common. Bridge tours are by special invitation only. Engine room tours are unheard of anymore.

The Galley tour is fun and amazing. I don't recall the Bridge tour being offered for awhile. The last time they offered it I did it and was really interesting to see all it takes to navigate and monitor things.

Either I have just not noticed the Bridge tour or they stopped it for security? Excellent question.

Just like visiting the flight deck of an aircraft in flight, visiting the bridge and engine room is probably no longer allowed in the post 9/11 world.
