Carnival Elation - Catalina Island/Ensenada, Mexico

We are planning on cruising the Elation in April of this year. If you have been on the Elation within the past year, would you give me your pros/cons of this ship?

If you cruised to Catalina Island and Ensenda, what would you recommend that we see/do at either of these places?

brneyes - Any tour of Catalina that will take you to the Casino (Hint...It serves as a theatre and a grand ballroom..there is no gambling there)and an overview of Avalon and thence into the interior with a stop at the airfield(Hint...there are great buffalo burgers here!...try one!)
