Roll Call - Holiday - Aug. 14

Anyone going? I have heard so much negative or not heard anything at all (about the Holiday). So, wondered if anyone else is going.

I like the Holiday. There were problems with the first cruise after the FEMA charter, but from what I have heard they have things straightened out.

My husband and I just returned this morning from a 4 day trip on the Holiday. I can't say enough good things about the trip. Yes, the ship is the smallest in the fleet, but that also adds to the charm. You have a better chance of getting to know your shipmates as well as the staff. We had a great time! And I'm sure you will too!

I am so glad to hear you liked the Holiday. I love this grand old ship! And how great is the Port Of Mobile? I was highly impressed with the Mobile facility when we cruised on the Holiday last summer.

Hi Dave,

Yes, the new port facilities are quite nice. The first time we sailed on the Holiday, it was during the trial period, and they were running everyone through the state docks. It wasn't awful, but it made you feel like cargo rather than a passenger. This embarkation/debarkation was much nicer and smoother.

Hopefully with the new terminal, we (Mobile) will be able to attract another ship. I think Mobile has proven that it can be a viable Port.

Yes indeed, I think Mobile is deserving of another ship. Perhaps from another line? If not, then I'd like to see Carnival move a Fantasy class ship over as a minimum.

Being at the northern edge of the state, it is still so convenient for us. About a 6 hour drive down I-65.
