Hey all, I have an update concerning the "Drink of the Day Cards". I was told recently by a Senior Bartender aboard the Fascination that the program ended this past Spring on that ship. I don't know for sure about the other ships, though I would think it would be the same. Again, as things do vary between the ships I don't know for sure. If anyone has recently been able to buy a card please let me know.
They also did away with the 12oz Coors Light aluminum cans. They are now 16oz plastic bottles. They at least have a screw on top which helps keep them from going flat if you don't finish one. Whereas, the Bud products are pop tops. They had several events where you could buy a Bucket and get a free T-shirt. It was the cigar bar and the casino bar on the Fascination. They also gave away Corona visors the last sea day at the lido bar for buying a Bucket.
The current prices for a "Bucket O' Beer" Domestic is $18 plus 15% gratuity totaling $20.70. If still in a US port local taxes may also apply.
The Morning Drink Specials (Bloody Mary, Screwdriver, and Mimosas) are now $4.25 plus 15% gratuity.
The Drink of the Day with a souvenir "glass" is now $7.50 plus 15% gratuity, I forget what the price is without the "glass".
Just got back from 3-day Thanksgiving cruise on Sensation and they did not offer the Drink of the Day card. I was able to buy one on the Carnival Glory back in June so I don't know if it is just certain ships or the length of the cruise or if it's just not offered anymore. I really liked having the card so the drink was already paid for.

Thanks for the information. Looks like beer prices have gone up again.
Dave,
It's been a long time. Too long. Anyway, I'm going on the Dream next week. Shall I post a review? I hope the drink cards exist. Struggling writer, you know.

Yes, it has been a long time. I just now saw you had joined us while I was off on my Oasis cruise.
Absolutely, you need to post a review. We just got the Dream added to the list of ships and you could very well be the author of our first review.
It's been a long time since the old Compuserve Cruise Forum and SeaLetter. Glad to see you here.
