Can anyone help me? This will only be my second cruise (first with Celebrity which was FABULOUS) I want to take my children and their two little ones away with us - so we need a cruise for them but we also need to have a little more "upscale" atmosphere for us. Any suggestions? The 3 I have narrowed it down to is Dream, Valor, and Legend as we want to go to Belize. Thank you.

Carnival is a great cruise line and I like them a lot, but I don't think I'd use "upscale" when discussing Carnival. Of the three ships you listed, the Dream stands out since it is still being built and will be in a class of it's own when finished. The Dream starts sailing next fall. It promises a lot of great things for kids and adults. The Legend is a Spirit-class ship and at present this is my favorite class of Carnival ship.

Actually I made a mistake - it wasn't the Dream (although now you have peeked my interest) it was Glory, Miracle, Legend and Valor.

DLT-The Carnival Dream begins her Inaugural American Cruising on Nov. 15,2009 out of NYC to the Bahamas. She will be doing only 2 such cruises whereafter she will reposition to Port Canaveral,FL and will be sailing alternate Eastern/Western Caribbean voyages.

And Billy knows this for sure. He was the first member to book this Dream come true.

Of the ships mentioned, I would lean toward the Legend.

I haven't set foot on a ship in over three months. Right about now, I would even board the S.S. Minnow for a three-hour tour.

Thank you one and all. I have a while to think about it - this is for next year.
