Tell Me I did the Right Thing

My husband, friends and I are all booked on the Valor in September, and I noticed yesterday that the cost has gone down $30 pp. My PVP told me that the cabin I was assigned in Feb (8201) was an 8C, but if I wanted to lower the cost, we could go 8A guarantee and then get whatever.

The $30 is not really a big deal, I guess, but I was a bit concerned with the first cabin because of its location on the ship since I really feel movement. And, I figured even a balcony on the Upperdeck would be okay, especially since I would have the opportunity to get an upgrade. . . .Although, that could work against us. . . .I've been on the upperdeck before and found it to be great.

So, did I do the right thing?? I always second guess myself!

How long do I have now?????

It's hard to say what you will get now. You could end up getting upgraded right back into the cabin you were originally booked. With "Guarantees" you just don't know if you will get forward, middle, or aft.
