Catching the Carnival Bus in Los Angeles

We were scheduled to fly in to LAX prior to the opening of the new Carnival terminal in Long Beach. Now we find out that we could have arranged to take the Carnival Bus but needed 15 days advance of our departure in order to pre arrange this. Now we will have to hope that we find the Carnival folks, pay cash ($38 per person) round trip transfer. Would have been nice to have been told while having the many conversations with Carnival so they would know we were coming.
