Yes, the Elation has hair dryers but I think they are the kind that you have to hold the button down the whole time making it very difficult to style your hair, Also, they are often not very powerful - I would plan to bring your own.

How about the Carnival Conquest - do they have decent blow dryers?

Yo Martha, there is no way the Elation has hair dryers in regular (Main, Empress, Upper Deck) cabins. They give you a basket of samples of things, along with Lever 2000 and shampoo dispensers in the shower. That is it- except for the Gideon's Bible and the room service menu. Plenty of hangers, though.

Martha,
Carla is SOOO right. Carnival supplies hair dryers on their newer ships, but not on the Elation.

Hair glosser and heavy duty conditioner. I was totally frizzed out. The water slide is sooo fun and you might be in the salt water more than you anticipated.

Sorry to have confused you. Here are the details: The Destiny, Triumph and Victory have hair dryers in the bathroom. The Spirit, Pride, Legend, Conquest, Glory, Miracle and Valor have hair dryers in the desk/vanity drawer. All of the rest of Carnival's ships do not have hair dryers. Hope that helps clear up the matter.
