Roll Call: Carnival Victory Jan. 28-Feb. 4, 2007?

Hi all. New to this board but would love to chat with other cruisers going on the Victory in a couple of weeks!

We'll be looking for playmates for our ds, age 6 and dd, age 4!

Would also love to hear from other Victory cruisers that have done the recent Costa Maya, Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman itin!

I will be on that cruise with my 4 children. They are ages 8-10-12-15. The 8 year old is my only girl, and I'm expecting to spend a lot of time by the water slide between the 4 of them. (This will be a first cruise for the 8 & 10 year olds, 2nd for the 12 yr old & 3rd for my oldest) Do you plan on putting them in Camp Carnival?

Hi there! I'm sure we'll be spending a fair amount of time by the waterslide ourselves!

I don't know about Camp Carnival. Probably I'll let them decide, if there are activities they'd like to participate in, then sure. Otherwise, DH isn't a fan of sticking them somewhere in a room all day! I wanna check it out and see if they'll like it!

I agree with you on sticking them in a room all day. I'm taking them on this cruise so I can spend some quality time with them, BUT will gladly let them participate in activities that interest them. I'm looking forward to the family activities too, such as the family welcome aboard party--I hope they have one on this ship!

A year ago my sons, then 14 & 11, did not like the Camp Carnival program at all. They preferred to hang out by the pool, play basketball & mini golf, etc.

I've been traveling with them a lot since I've been on my own and we've been all over the country (I drove to Baton Rouge-Texas-Los Angeles/Hollywood-S Lake Tahoe-Las Vegas-Hoover Dam-Grand Canyon-Meteor Crater in 2005 and Niagara Falls in 2006, plus several cruises!) but I think this will be the best trip ever because I won't have to drive thousands of miles!

It's so brave of you to take your kids on vaca by yourself! I commend you for that, and for not planning to stick them in cruise daycare all day!!!

My 6 yr old son's best friend is the 8 yr old girl next door to us so may he and your daughter will play together.

Hopefully we'll meet on the ship! My kids are both little blondies! (My daughters hair is basically white!)

Have you found any recent "Cruise Capers" posted for this itin? It would be great to have a heads up on what activities will be offered!

I'm coming from Southwest FL, less than a 3 hour drive to the port. The weather is up and down here, but definitely not frozen like where you are!!

I told my daughter about your family today & she's all excited! I'll have to figure out what everyone will be wearing the first day and let you know. My oldest will probably wear his Terrell Owens jersey, that would stand out like a sore thumb! Anyway 12 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!
