As our cruise on the Carnival Dream draws ever closer...February 19...I find my mind constantly wandering from the white, frozen coast of Maine to the warm, relaxing islands of the Caribbean. This is our 5th cruise with Carnival. They just keep getting better!

We've already had more snow in northern Alabama than some parts of Colorado, with possibly more to come next week. I'm stuck here and wish I was on the Dream right now!
We are leaving next Saturday on the Freedom for our first cruise. We live in Ontario, Canada. Tomorrow our high temp is going to -3F. Yup that is around -20c. I also have a wondering mind.
Earlier this evening, I was showing my 4 year old daughter the webcam from the Dream. I told her that next week the people in the picture will leave the ship, and then WE will be the people in the picture.
we are leaving next saturday to sail on the fascination on monday. We are expecting snow in n c on tuesday. I am gonna be on that ship if I have to snow ski all the way to fl. it has been a long hard winter this yr.
In our part of New England, our snow totals have already exceeded the average for the entire season. As I don't have a cruise booked to a warm climate, I just keep thinking back to how much I disliked the 100F/38C temperatures we had for weeks last summer, along with high humidity. And, someone remind me of that again later this week when our temps are expected to drop to near 0F/-18C.
macmom111, PC GUY, Karen 69er, and papa58 -- enjoy your upcoming cruises! I also love the weeks just prior, when you know it's coming soon. Carnival certainly is addictive. We're looking at booking #4 on the line for this coming summer vacation.

My mind has been wandering to what it felt like to have warm sunshine on my body laying in a Lido deck chair. And of course with an ice cold bucket of brews with Jimmy Buffett on the ipod. The only improvement to this would be wandering waiters to take your deli or pizza order and then deliver your food.
I'm from Louisiana, and even though our weather is nothing like New England's, I'm still sick & tired of winter also! We're headed to the Mexican Riviera in 6 weeks on the Spirit. My mind is wandering too. We just decided on the excursions yesterday, and today I'm having a hard time concentrating at work! I'm ready to go!
